The people behind maze
Meet the neighbors behind MAZ Events.
We’re the husband-and-wife team behind MAZ Events, and Eagle Springs is home for us and our three kids. We also run MarLec & Zo, a small business where we make soaps, candles, and body care by hand. Selling at markets around the Houston area has become one of our favorite parts of running the business. We get to meet the people who use what we make, answer their questions in person, and catch up when they stop by again.

Our Story
From our booth to our neighborhood.
Being vendors has also shown us how much goes into a market morning. There’s the work of growing or making everything, packing it up, and setting out a table before the first shopper arrives. And then there’s the part that makes it all worthwhile: someone comes back for something they loved, or a neighbor stops to ask how something was grown or made. Those are the moments we’d love to bring a little closer to home.
That’s why we’re working to start a farmers market right here in Eagle Springs. We’d love for it to be a place where you can pick up fresh produce or eggs, discover something made nearby, and run into a neighbor you haven’t seen in a while. We want farmers and makers to have a reason to come back, too: a market where they can get to know the people they’re selling to.

Growing with our community.

Be part of what's next
Help us shape something local.
We’re still shaping what the market will look like, and we’d love for our neighbors to help. What would make it part of your weekend? A stand you could count on for fresh vegetables? A chance to buy meat or eggs from a local farm? Tell us what you’d come for. We’d love to build a market our neighborhood looks forward to.
