The Maz Events team were busy this weekend delivering rustic vintage decor for Pooja and Shyamal at The Roundhouse, Derby. Pooja and Shyamal made it very clear that they wanted different, not something they have seen before and wanted rustic simplicity to suit the venue. With that brief in mind, we designed a mandap and reception theme that looked like they belong to the venue.
The day started with a stunning wooden mandap with ivory flowers, wooden holders with tall candles lining the walkway to finish the theme. The floral mandap sat on a higgledy-piggledy stage – multi-layers to create drama and statement. The effect was stunning, simplicity but class. The rustic garden theme continued throughout the day with a magical foyer piece that wowed the guests – another unique product designed and made by maz events; a wall of ganeshes in all sorts of shapes and sizes mounted on a living wall. Nothing about this event was uniform or standard; everything was about being quirky.
The reception was even more rustic in the evening with a top table resembling a garden fence in the evening. Every table centre was different; nothing was uniform and everything was pretty but given the appearance of being rustic and aged. There were bottles and jars, there were crates and logs, there were ribbons and pearls, there was flowers and herbs – all the tables were styled rather than table centres simply placed on tables. These table centres oozed attention to detail.
The success of any event is never possible without the co-operation and flexibility of other suppliers who worked with us. So we’d like to thank;
Rebekah Ford at the Roundhouse – what a great venue to get married and amazing people to work with. It’s a suppliers dream!!!!
The wonderful Parvy Rakkar – wedding planner extraordinaire! Always helping to make weddings run so smoothly
Sanjay Foods – the food complimented the décor – looked stunning and tasted divine. The service was exemplary and this all added to making the event great – could we ask for more!
A simple message read on the top table “Happily Ever After” and that’s exactly what we wish for Pooja and Shyamal who were a delight to work with. The Maz Events team would like to thank the Rughani family for putting their faith in all the weddings that they have booked with us. We look forward to the next one!
