Having been in the wedding industry for almost 30 years, we’ve seen all the trends come and go. We’ve gone from traditional colours or classic colours as we call them of red and white themed wedding, gold and ivory themed wedding, red and gold themed weddings to what is happening now – whites, ivories, flowers, flower walls, flower backdrops, crystal tablecentres, crystal themes – okay I think you get it! As themes arrive they stick and everyone seems to want the same, offer the same and look the same!

Maz Events prides itself as a brand that creates different weddings for every client. This month alone we’ve gone from a woodland theme, to classical colour theme, to floral theme to Las Vegas theme to a really traditional Indian theme! Never is an event the same and nor is our approach to a wedding, which leads us nicely to a wedding that we did at Alrewas Hayes this weekend. Bally came to us with a brief that she wanted something classical, red and white theme, traditional Indian colours but with a garden twist. Boy did we have fun! It was like going back to the future! A touch of the past recreated with today’s styling. What a lovely theme for a venue that suits anything!

How could we describe it? Simplicity with draping; the sharp contrast colours of red and white; and then the finishing touches of a floral tree, ivy, greenery and flowers to create a quintessential garden theme. To add the magic, we added a stunning fairylight canopy over the dancefloor. There’s something really special about doing it differently and we think Bally really did!
A big thank you again to our friends at @alrewashayes, @kudosroadshow,@johalcatering for a great event.
